Joint Operations on Outer Circle Buses

National Express West Midlands and the West Midlands Police Safer Travel Team carried out checks on board Outer Circle (11A/11C) buses at Handsworth New Road on Wednesday, 24th September 2008 between 1030 and 1330.
22 Outer Circle buses from Acocks Green Garage were checked during the operation and a total of 753 passengers had their tickets, travel cards and passes checked. 25 Standard Fare Cards were issued and 10 travel cards were withdrawn.
On Thursday, 25th September 2008 a further operation was carried out at Dudley Road/Summerfield Park between 11am and 7pm. In this instance 734 Outer Circle passengers on board 23 buses had their tickets, travel cards and passes checked resulting in 45 Standard Fare Cards being issued and 6 travel cards being withdrawn.
