INVESTING IN YOUR SAFETY
The NX UK Bus Division continues to invest TIME and MONEY in the Safer Travel partnership.

• In May 2006, Tony Dallison was appointed to the new role of Safer Travel Co-ordinator and is working closely with our staff and local officers from both West Midlands Police and British Transport Police.
• Investment continues to be made in CCTV. There are over 3,600 CCTV cameras on our buses in the West Midlands and steps are currently being taken to fit all Midland Metro trams with a new CCTV. Across our UK operations, 60% of the fleet carries digital CCTV
• 209 of our vehicles carry the multi-media ‘CrystalEyes’ system which has done much to improve the safety and feeling of safety amongst customers.
• Each of our local bus depots employs dedicated CCTV Operatives who match evidence through our reporting procedures.
• Our team of dedicated Revenue Inspectors continue to work closely with West Midlands Police across our network – carrying out a variety of operations to ensure public and staff safety.
